Wendy has been a resident of Carmel, Indiana for the past 20 years. Possessing a passion for photography at an early age, she evolved through the years to become the "official family photographer." Since that time, she has taken many photography classes and workshops throughout the United States to pursue the many areas of photography which interest her. She has had the honor of working along side many nationally known photographers who have helped her build her skills and vision. In 2006, she attended the Freeman Patterson Workshop of Visual Design, taking her vision to a whole new level. She has also participated in photography workshops at: The Disney Institute, The Rocky Mountain School of Photography, The George Lepp Institute of Digital Imaging, Joseph Van Os Photo Safaris & The Great American Photo Workshops. She has taken local classes as well at IUPUI and is an active member of the Riviera Camera Club in Indianapolis. Wendy's award winning photographs have been published at the local, state, national, and international level. One of her images had the honor of hanging in the Smithsonian Museum in Washington, D.C. One image was featured in the 2009 Inner Reflections calendar. Five additional images are currently featured on nationally distributed greeting cards. Wendy creates images from the heart, coaxing her viewers to see the world around them in a refreshing and different way.

Lake Superior is my muse. It is a beautiful palate of water, sky and forest. I have lived in a number of places in the United States, but the scenes from the Great Lakes region continue to be the main focus of my creativity and the inspiration of my artwork. I grew up in Duluth, Minnesota and am a graduate of the University of Minnesota, Duluth. I have worked in the graphics arts field and am by and large a self-taught artist. I have studied under the master watercolor painter Cheng Khee Chee and nature photographers Nadine and Craig Blacklock through the University of Minnesota continuing education workshops. My mentor for oils is Magdalena Hoyos-Segovia, an internationally acclaimed artist. Presently I reside in Carmel, Indiana and I work from a home studio. The backdrop is a pond frequented by a wide variety of wild waterfowl surrounded by the large sky vista of the prairie. My family`s cabin on Eagle Lake near Iron River, Wisconsin provides me with another view of the northern landscape.

               WoodBundy & Company, Inc.

The concept of using decoys to lure ducks closer to the hunter was first conceived by the Native Americans. These decoys were made of reeds. American pioneers copied the idea with carved wood decoys. Today, decoys have become an American folk art. Bundy decoys carry on this tradition. Each decoy is carved from solid white cedar log at our shop in Noblesville, Indiana. In the world of imitations & imports, consider an original. Truly, there is nothing like a Bundy decoy!
